GFP-actin cell infected with C. jejuni
Campylobacter jejuni clinical strain F38011 bound to human INT 407 epithelial cells. A monolayer of INT 407 cells was transiently transfected with a vector expressing actin-GFP (green) fusion protein and infected with C. jejuni F38011. The bacteria (red) were labeled with rabbit anti-Campylobacter whole cell lysate antibody and mouse anti-rabbit Cy-5 labeled antibody. The nuclei (blue) were labeled with DAPI.

Immunofluorescence micrograph of
C. jejuni 81-176 and INT407
Immunofluorescence micrograph showing the association of C. jejuni clinical strain 81-176 with human INT 407 epithelial cells. Cell-associated C. jejuni were stained with a rabbit anti-C. jejuni antibody followed by incubation with a Cy2 conjugated donkey -rabbit IgG antibody. Actin (red staining) was stained using TRITC labeled phalloidin. Cell nuclei (blue) were stained with DAPI.
